With the UK in recession and unemployment topping two million, the hospitality industry needs to ensure they are able to attract and keep customers. Brian Norman, Managing Director at Vista Retail Support, says that reliable EPOS systems play an important part in maintaining customer satisfaction.
SA Brain and Co Ltd, Wales’ leading drinks and hospitality company, has selected Vista Retail Support, a leading independent EPOS maintenance services company, to maintain the company’s Back Office PCs and wireless networks in its 117 managed pubs, to ensure that its business is continuously operational.
Vista Retail Support also supports a selection of the Epos peripheral equipment, Welcome Hotel system’s PCs and its in-house installed WiFi infrastructure. The business required back up outside of core office hours as it couldn’t provide the necessary breadth of coverage to its growing managed estate.
Kevin Roche, IT Manager, Brains, said, “We needed to work with a company who would be able to cope with our growth plans and we also wanted to extend the hours of cover across our managed estate for our key systems. It was vital that we partnered with an organisation that could support our business outside of normal 9-5 working hours and over weekend periods.”
The business is continuously reviewing the cost and quality of maintenance and has negotiated support agreements to enable the company to obtain flexible cover in the most cost efficient way.
Roche continued, “The flexibility of Vista allows us to expand upon the current support arrangements to a level that the business requires. Also, by speaking to some of Vista’s existing customers we can see how they have helped support other growing businesses. The company’s call centre staff and engineers are extremely helpful and competent. They adopt the approach that a problem is their responsibility until it is satisfactorily resolved.”
