Footasylum’s EPOS a step ahead with Vista Retail Support

Footasylum, a fast-growing chain of high-end casual footwear and apparel retail stores, has signed a three-year deal with Vista Retail Support, a leading independent EPOS maintenance services company, to support its EPOS estate across its 18 UK stores.

The Manchester-based retailer selected Vista to support its 34 lanes as it offered a cost-effective solution for the business.

Footasylum used to support its EPOS internally, however as the business began to expand it decided to outsource the maintenance.

James Atkinson, IT and Operations Manager at Footasylum, said, “We were impressed with the team’s approach and the business had a similar feel of our own organisation. We also had positive feedback after conversations with existing Vista customers. Although we only have 34 lanes we can’t afford any down time of our EPOS lanes. Our products are much in demand and if our tills were down for an hour it would have a big impact on our operation.”

By outsourcing to a third-party expert Footasylum’s IT department is able to concentrate on getting the infrastructure in place to support any potential growth plans for the business, while the day-to-day responsibilities of running the EPOS systems are removed.
